In the far north the world is full of contrasts. The largest whales survive on the ocean’s smallest creatures, sharks can swim the seas for centuries, while buzzing insects live for only a few brief days. The shimmering ice preserves a record of millennia of climate history and the forces of nature, and every year the long darkness of winter gives way to a brief but brilliantly colourful summer.
The exhibition opens with the new museum on March 6, 2027.
