Evolution has shaped all life, from the very first single-celled organisms to the life forms we know today. Discover the remarkable complexity of life, be amazed by nature’s ingenious solutions, and explore how different species have evolved over millions of years.
The exhibition opens with the new museum on March 6, 2027.
Exhibition highlights
- Meet Misty – the museum’s own 17-metre-long dinosaur of the species Diplodocus longus.
- Engage all your senses as you discover what connects you to the smallest microbes and the largest whales while exploring displays of giant crabs, tapeworms, water lilies and naked mole-rats.
- Explore the extinct megafauna of South America and encounter the giant ground sloth, the glyptodon and the sabre-toothed cat.
- Immerse yourself in the forms and colours of nature in the large workshop at the heart of the exhibition. Here, you can get close to plants, bones and fossilised wood, draw and colour, measure and examine – or simply take a break and admire the beautiful butterfly tables.
