The Zoological Museum is closed
After 52 good years, the Zoological Museum closed permanently to the public on 23 October 2022. This is a step in the preparations for the new big museum building, which will open in the Botanical Garden in a couple of years.
The Zoological Museum has provided generations of visitors with great experiences in the world of nature, and we thank everyone who visited and helped make it an unforgettable conclusion.
Now, the museum's conservators are beginning the extensive work of treating the museum's items so they can be moved safely. Some will return to storage after a long exhibition life, while others will become part of the upcoming exhibitions in the new museum building.

The Zoological Museum is closed, but you can still visit us at the Natural History Museum Denmark in the Botanical Garden.
