Juleværksted

Holiday crafts and Santa's reindeer

In the museum’s workshop, you can create Christmas decorations, pet Santa's reindeer, and learn more about Arctic animals.

Every day in December, you can meet and pet one of Santa’s reindeer in the Natural History Workshop at the museum. You can also feel the fur and skulls of Arctic animals like the musk ox, arctic fox, and snow hare, and discover how these animals survive the cold snow in some of Earth’s harshest environments.

Bring the family along and compete in the antler quiz, or settle down with a book about the natural history of Christmas elves. In the workshop, you can also get creative by making sustainable decorations from recycled paper or dinosaur crawling elves to take home.
