Popular Palm House poster
Many have been asking for our popular poster of the beautiful Palm House in the Botanical Garden, and after extensive detective work, we have managed to reproduce the poster from an original drawing from 1870. The poster is reprinted on heavy quality paper in the size 70x50 cm.
The protected Palm House in the Botanical Garden was constructed between 1872-74, with brewer J. C. Jacobsen as one of the driving forces behind the project. The architect of the Palm House was city architect Peter Christian Bønecke, and the inspiration came from the Crystal Palace in London, built for the World Exhibition in 1852.
