Internship at the Museum
The Natural History Museum of Denmark accepts a number of 8th and 9th-grade students for internships each year.
IMPORTANT INFO: THERE ARE NO MORE AVAILABLE SLOTS FOR INTERNSHIPS IN 2024.
Before applying for an internship, please be aware of the following:
- You can only do an internship during week 9 or week 44.
- Working hours at the museum may vary and are not always between 9 AM and 4 PM or on weekdays.
- There are many different tasks at a museum, such as ticket sales, supervision, research, communication, collection management, and practical duties. It cannot be guaranteed that you will only work in the job type you are most interested in.
- All internship programs include a general introduction to the museum's areas of work and a day where you will try being a museum host in the exhibitions.
- The workplace may be at either the Botanical Garden, the Natural History Museum of Denmark in the city center, or the (currently closed) Zoological Museum in the University Park.
- The museum only accepts a small number of interns at a time, so an internship placement cannot be guaranteed.
