Autumn break for the whole family

12 – 20 October 2024
Cool teeth, tours, art and living butterflies.

During the autumn holidays, we sink our teeth into nature and invite big and small to explore skulls and teeth in the Natural History Workshop, where you can take part in a quiz and win prizes.

You can also go on guided tours of the Wild Wonderful World exhibition for both adults and families, where the museum's tour guides tell wild stories and show exciting objects.

Outside in the Botanical Garden, you can enjoy the beautiful red and yellow hues of the foliage as you sip a cup of hot cocoa from the coffee cart. You can also take a trip to the tropics in the Palm House or experience the wonderful transformation of the living butterflies in the Butterfly House.

At the same time, the autumn break is about to be the last chance to experience Marie Lund's art installation 'bldngs', which hangs in the Palm House until 3 November 2024.

Autumn break with a bite

We sink our teeth into nature and invite young and old to explore the animal kingdom's most beautiful smiles, sharpest teeth and strongest bites.

Every day during the autumn break, you can see giant teeth from prehistoric sharks, T-rexes, saber cats and hippopotamuses or hold skulls in your hands and count the teeth of animals. You can also go on a tooth treasure hunt or win prizes in the tooth quiz.

The activities take place in the 'Natural History Workshop' in the 'Wild Wonderful World' exhibition and are free when a ticket to the museum has been redeemed.
